In 1989, Tom established Joules by honing his craft and peddling his rustic apparel at fairs and events around the United Kingdom. Tom's entrepreneurial energy inspired him to design high quality, fashionable, and useful products that would capture the vibrant personalities of outdoor enthusiasts, and thus the Joules brand was created. Tom has appeared on Drapers' list of the 100 Most Influential People in Fashion Retail three times.
